Plaid used to be my go to pattern when I was younger. I would always swoon over those punky plaid skirts at Hot Topic. I wasn’t allowed to get them though lol. I think I’m ok with that now, looking back it wasn’t for me.
I did have a collection of plaid flannels and button ups that were my go to outfits. Whenever I went shopping I would end up bringing home another flannel I totally *needed*. I’ve calmed down since then. There’s only four pieces of plaid clothing in my closet at this point. Gingham is a whole other story, I just went on a wild gingham print haul. I’ll try my best to diversify my posts and not bombard you with my table cloth themed outfits all at once.
I went for a more grunge look this time, but if you want inspo for a preppier way to style plaid pants check out my other post Pug Love.
I got the pants from Shein a while back so these photos have actually been sitting on my computer for the longest time. I finally had the chance to edit and upload them. I’ve seen a handful of people wear the tapered plaid plants and I’m super excited it’s a thing now. Express had a whole blue and red plaid pant suit some time ago that I still regret not getting and I’ve been looking for a pair of tailored plaid pants since. You can easily make a more conservative outfit wearing a black or grey tank top. I’m extra though, so I wore this corset crop top I found at Topshop. The white stitching is such a cool touch that matches well.
